Happy Valentine’s Day!
Happy Valentine’s Day! I bought this hat for Don for his birthday and it just sits on a shelf at the office! Maybe I should have realized he never really wears hats and is too modest to wear one with his name on it. But I’ll wear it! lol 😆😆😆😆 Reminds me of that episode of the Simpsons where Homer bought Marge a bowling ball for her birthday because he wanted it.

It’s Roo!
It’s Roo! When drawing Roo, I just couldn’t get his head right. I think this was the start of a string of bad drawings. That can happen sometimes, your artistic ability may be in full throttle and ONE drawing can ruin your whole streak of good drawings. At that point, who knows when the creative blue note will get play again.

The Toon Patrol!
The Toon Patrol! Here is my study of Greasy. This is one of the prompt entries I was just not getting right on model. Sometimes you can draw and draw and draw and not like anything you do. Or the drawing you’re trying to get right, just gets worse and worse. At those times, I take a step back and gather myself, then later I’ll give it another try. If you don’t try, you’ll never know if you can!

IT’S NAILS!
IT’S NAILS! This was my first drawings of the Ralph Bakshi prompts. I love this character (Nails) and I wanted to do him justice when drawing him. I didn’t feel as if either of these two drawings worked for my first Ralph Bakshi ToonTober entry. I wanted to go to full color, but then pivoted to another pose, a full body Nails. Here, I started with the rough then did a tie down.

Filbert and the unhatched Sheldon Chick!
Filbert and the unhatched Sheldon Chick! These were for the Garfield and Friends prompt. When I drew them, I thought they were just too simple. So I went on to more complicated characters to draw. ✍️ That is really it for these, just wanted to draw the other characters too. 😆

Grinch - Study Rejects
Here are my unused Dr. Seuss prompts of the Grinch. I drew him with a marker (which can be very unforgiving, lol) and just couldn’t get him right. It was my first time drawing the Grinch. I got frustrated a bit and then decided to go wild and change him up a bit more sinister on the second image. But still, I was going for on-model. This will be one of those ToonTober fails. I passed on this character as an entry and did other Dr. Seuss characters instead. On the positive side, practice is practice! 😆

Piglet Animation - Thumbs
Here are the thumbnails for the Piglet bounce animation I did a couple weeks ago. If I could, I’d animate every single day!

The Hands of Baloo Study!
The hands of Baloo. Studying hands is not one of my favorite things to do, but I still do it. Find your worst subject, whatever it may be, and practice to get better! ✍️✍️✍️✍️✍️

Who's the Monkeys?
🎶”Hey, hey, we're the Monkees and people say we monkey around. But we're too busy drawing to put anybody down!”🎶 Here is a monkey sketch, they just chillin. 🐒😎🐒😎🐒

First Time Meeting Scott Menville!
Another one from Pasadena! Here I am meeting Scott Menville the voice of Robin on Teen Titans! It was great hearing about the time he worked with Jim Varney on Ernest Goes to Camp. The Ernest movies were my childhood. 🙏 He sat next to us at our booth.

Hanging out with Phillip Glasser again!
Back from Pasadena! Had a great time, met some great people and got to hang out with Phillip Glasser again! Also! Check out this Fievel Mousekewitz that talks and has a cassette tape I never knew they made these like they made the Teddy Ruxpin talking plushies. I got to find me one of these!

Smurfette Mistress of the Dark!
Smurfette Mistress of the Dark! Here is my mix of Elvira and Smurfette. I really wanted to do a color version but I ran out of time! Still happy with the sketch tho. Can’t believe it’s the final day of ToonTober! Happy Halloween everyone!

Random Lizard Drawing!
When a lizard 🦎 sneaks up on you then just sits there staring. He’s just asking for me to draw him! I remember the first time I saw a lizard after I moved to Florida from the Midwest, I was surprised there were so many, same here in Arizona now. Final day of “Your Choice” prompts. So how about an animal life drawing!

Not the Mamma! Baby Dinosaur!
Not the Mamma! Here is baby study from Dinosaurs. I’m rewatching this show with my little girl, and she absolutely loves it! I even bought her all the vintage character toys so she can experience it right! So when we put on the DVD she runs and gets all the Sinclairs! lol

The Jungle Book study! Here is one of the quartet of vultures in the movie. His name is Flaps (the blond one) and was voiced by Chad Stuart. It’s been awhile since I watched the Jungle Book, I think it’s high time!

Tweety: This widdle piddy stayed home.
Eddie Valiant: No.
Tweety: This widdle piddy had woast beef...
Tweety: And *this* widdle piddy - had...
*Eddie falls*
Tweety: Uh-oh, wan outta piddies
Here is a study of one of my favorite scenes in Who Framed Roger Rabbit! When Eddie was in Toontown! I still want to visit there one day.

“Dum-Dums” Who Framed Roger Rabbit study!
“Dum-Dums” study! The best bullet characters of all time! They were found in a gun box labeled "Valiant & Valiant,” and inside was inscribed a thank you from Yosemite Sam ("Thanks for getting me out of the Hoosegow") From what I gathered, the bullets had no names. They were just labeled Bullet #1, Bullet #2, etc. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

Baby Herman Study!
Baby Herman! I wanted to start over on this one, I feel like I can draw Baby Herman much better. Who Framed Roger Rabbit is my all time favorite animated film. 🥇🥇🥇🥇 One of the many reasons is the quality of the film. Sometimes when I watch it, I’m just thinking about the difficulty they must of had making it. And wishing I was there making the movie with them. It is a masterpiece to say the least.

Aogaeru from Spirited Away Study
My quick study of the greedy little frog Aogaeru from Spirited Away. One of the best parts in the film when he gets swallowed whole by No-Face and then No-Face goes out of control swallowing up others. Animation at its finest there!

Radish Spirit from Spirited Away Study
This handsome fellow is the Radish Spirit from Spirited Away. In Japanese his name is Oshira-sama which translates to the Great White Lord. I love side characters like him, if you haven’t noticed from all my drawings. I don’t usually study main characters much, because I like to get to know the not-so popular characters and their back stories. Every character plays a part you know!
