I remember the first time I saw a lizard after I moved to Florida from the Midwest, I was surprised there were so many, same here in Arizona now. Final day of “Your Choice” prompts. Not the Mamma! Here is baby study from Dinosaurs. I’m rewatching this show with my little girl, and she absolutely loves it! I even bought her all the vintage character toys so she can experience it right! So when we put on the DVD she runs and gets all the Sinclairs! lol

The Jungle Book study! Here is one of the quartet of vultures in the movie. His name is Flaps (the blond one) and was voiced by Chad Stuart. It’s been awhile since I watched the Jungle Book, I think it’s high time!

“Dum-Dums” Who Framed Roger Rabbit study!

“Dum-Dums” study! The best bullet characters of all time! They were found in a gun box labeled "Valiant & Valiant,” and inside was inscribed a thank you from Yosemite Sam ("Thanks for getting me out of the Hoosegow") From what I gathered, the bullets had no names. They were just labeled Bullet #1, Bullet #2, etc. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

Baby Herman Study!

Baby Herman! I wanted to start over on this one, I feel like I can draw Baby Herman much better. Who Framed Roger Rabbit is my all time favorite animated film. 🥇🥇🥇🥇 One of the many reasons is the quality of the film. Sometimes when I watch it, I’m just thinking about the difficulty they must of had making it. And wishing I was there making the movie with them. It is a masterpiece to say the least.

Aogaeru from Spirited Away Study

My quick study of the greedy little frog Aogaeru from Spirited Away. One of the best parts in the film when he gets swallowed whole by No-Face and then No-Face goes out of control swallowing up others. Animation at its finest there!

Radish Spirit from Spirited Away Study

This handsome fellow is the Radish Spirit from Spirited Away. In Japanese his name is Oshira-sama which translates to the Great White Lord. I love side characters like him, if you haven’t noticed from all my drawings. I don’t usually study main characters much, because I like to get to know the not-so popular characters and their back stories. Every character plays a part you know!

The Ōtori-Sama from Spirited Away Study

Here is my study of the characters “The Ōtori-Sama” from Spirited Away. My second favorite Miyazaki film next to My Neighbor Totoro. Back in 1996/97, I had an anime website that played the Totoro midi in the background at all times. Remember, these were the dialup days, even a single MP3 took hours to download sometimes. So midi was the most commonly used music file on the web due to their small file sizes.

Garfield and Friends Odie study!

Garfield and Friends Odie study! I love dogs so much! My current puppy’s name is Pepper, she’s a lot like Odie. She is about to be 6 years old, in human years. I don’t know what that is in dog years though? 😆 Odie here is drawn with pencil, then painted digitally.

U.S Acres - Booker Study

Booker! Another U.S Acres character study from the Garfield and Friends show. All marker. Booker was voiced by Frank Welker (he’s also the voice of Megatron.) Booker is the more wiser chick, unlike his brother Sheldon who is still in his egg and won’t come out. 😆 They are the comedy duo of the show. The Lorax!

The Lorax! Drawing something completely different this time. The Dr. Seuss style is very hard. When you look at it, it seems simple but it’s definitely not! The Grand Duke - Study

Fievel Mousekewitz Study!

Mousekewitz Monday! I know I’ve studied this little guy a lot, but I can’t help it! Fievel is probably my favorite character to draw. ALSO! On Saturday, I got to hang out with Phillip Glasser who was the voice of Fievel. I gave Phillip lessons on how to draw Fievel so he can draw him when he signs stuff for fans. He just needs a little more practice. I’ll keep drilling him! 😆 He, Don and Gary were signing all the Funko Pops for fans. (See picture.) I wish I got more pictures, but they had me working the whole time. I had a blast though! #ToonTober2024

Rasputin - Throwback Study!

Rasputin! This is one of my studies from 15 years ago, when I first started being mentored by Don Bluth. One thing I can say I’m real proud of is that I never gave up drawing. Even till this day. Drawing and animating is my happy place. If you don’t have a happy place, I hope one day you find one, or two or even three! 🙏 FUN FACT! Christopher Lloyd was the voice of Rasputin in Anastasia, however the singing voice was the talented Jim Cummings! And! Winnie the Pooh - Gopher Study

I felt inspired with this one. Gopher first appeared in the 1966 Disney animated film Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree. He was designed/created by John Lounsbery who was Don Bluth’s main mentor at Disney. I was wondering why I had so much fun drawing him! 😆 Almost felt like I drew him before! #ToonTober2024
