Animating the Horse from Drawn to Life Books

In the book, "Drawn to Life" vol 1, page 16. Stanchfield talks about basic shapes and has a Disney horse on the page. I thought I would try to add a little to the character and animate her.

And yes, that is my farting/spitting noise. :D

Here are the last 2 Princess and the Frog drawings i'm going to do. The firefly was a bit off, I rushed him. Need to spend more time on future drawings. :)

Everyone make sure you see this movie in the theaters atleast 3 TIMES! If this movie does well all studios will return to 2d animation!!

Princess and the Frog - Study 3

Three new drawings from Princess and the Frog. The best out of the three is Naveen the frog. The Tiana frog drawing is all wrong. I messed up with the head, the body I think is okay. Lastly Dr. Facilier from Princess and the Frog, forgot his mustache, lol. More to come!

Princess and the Frog - Study 2

I think I rushed the drawing of Charlotte, too many errors. Soon I will be drawing the fun cartoony characters, I wanted to study the humans first. Human drawing is my worst subject I think.

Princess and the Frog - Study

For Princess Tiana I got her eyes wrong. When I darkened the lines, a bunch of lines messed up on her. It is hard to go over sketched lines to make them dark and perfect.

I plan on drawing many of the characters, more to come.

Life Drawing - Open Class 7 cont..

More from today.

Some really AWESOME NEWS!! I showed Don Bluth my life drawings and he said this,

"Lavalle,
The life drawings are very good. The first thing that came to my mind was Picasso. Your style is very reminiscent of his. The good news is it is heavy on design elements which are attractive to look at. Even more good news is the master designer of animation, Milt Kahl, professed that Picasso was his inspiration. You're in good company." - Don Bluth

SO AWESOME!! I am really inspired!
